It's a riddle! And it's not that hard.Figure it out.Big thanks to Janeczka for reading this poem with me (I love her voice!), as well as providing the title.Janeczka:http://www.youtube.com/user/janeczka- The Ancient Modern Riddle -They come in every tone and colourMany shapes and many sizesSome are hidden beneath the most elaborate disguisesThey are dangerous, yet mildMost are caged, though some are wildMany are destined to sustain a newborn childThey have been called God's gift to manSome act like the French invented themThey've been disregarded, disrespectedBeen pushed around, misrepresentedFar too many have been over-inflatedThey are an artist's inspirationAnd a woman's complicationThey're an uncomfortable embarrassmentTo the entire western nationThey are a puzzle and a mysteryA thing of beauty to observeThey bear the brunt of many insultsAnd many names they don't deserveThey are known by a thousand titlesEach one growing more absurdBut there's no secret to a riddle...If you come right out and say the wordSteve Skafte © 2008( fetusboy )

May 16, 2008 - Note:Possible answer spolier if you read on....I love riddles, hehe. And it was wonderful to hear a new one, and so poetically delivered! After the first stanza I thought the answer was women in general, but the second stanza made me realise you mean one specific part of women. How true that it is that they have a thousand titles, each one more absurd than the next. So which to choose as the answer? Perhaps 'breasts'..at least that one is in the dictonary, haha!

May 16, 2008 - That was quite clever and well delivered by both over you!!!Dave:)

May 16, 2008 - Rabbits. You're talking about rabbits.Man, you guys did one heck of a job on this video!
thefetusboy Says:
May 16, 2008 - Sigh. David, you're the only one who would say that. Thanks, mate!
thefetusboy Says:
May 16, 2008 - Like many riddles, there's technically only one possible answer. And you got it. Hehe. This poem didn't actually start out as a riddle. Originally, it was just a poem about the female body, but this came to me when I was trying to think up more 'poetic' words. I realized just how many foolish-sounding words we use without thinking about it.Thanks for watching!
thefetusboy Says:
May 16, 2008 - Hey, thanks, Dave!

May 16, 2008 - Language is interesting like that, I reckon you can gain quite an insight into a culture or society by finding out which things or concepts they have the most alternative words for ;)

May 17, 2008 - Hey you two!! I love the line 'Most are caged, though some are wild'....lol...:)I love the way you have presented this - wow the bar just keeps raising for poetry on here :) Well done, guys!! Love Sunbeam :)

May 17, 2008 - You did a great job on this Steve!!! Love the way you edited it. You love my voice? I love yours ;) Thanks for thinking about me for this video! I'm really flattered :)

May 17, 2008 - The sheer cleverness alone has made me grin: loved the succinct precision of lines {Far too many have been over-inflatedThey are an artist's inspirationAnd a woman's complicationThey're an uncomfortable embarrassmentTo the entire western nation}The mammary gland; you cast such a spell on we who cart along that y-chromosome, and affect us life-long. To be honest, I first thought the poem was indeed about a part of the body (or person), but I was feeling it was the phenomenon of "Ego".
MindForge83 Says:
May 17, 2008 - LOLnice one, dave.Rabbit-replicants. That reminds me, I have to change the battery in mine before it starts bitching about more carrots... and more life.

May 17, 2008 - great poem and idea, i loved it.both the concept and the execution.btw for some reason the first thing that springs to mind as an 'answer to the riddle'is breasts.no idea if thats what was or intended or if it matters.perhaps that answer springing to mind says more about me than the poem lol
thefetusboy Says:
May 17, 2008 - Aha, no worries mate, that's the answer.
DavidRandallCurtis Says:
May 17, 2008 - MindForge83: Yea, at first I was going to type, "Memories. You're talking about memories." - and see if anyone would get the Blade Runner connection. Then I made it harder with Rabbits. Damn, I'll have to work hard to get my next obscure movie quote past you! Hey you lazy poet bastard! Where is my private video... Ah... it doesn't matter anyway... my dreams are all dead and buried... sometimes I wish the sun would just explode...
1imageofme Says:
