"Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai" (Hindi: जिस देश में गंगा बहती है, Urdu: جس دیش میں گنگا بہتی ہے) is a 1960 Hindi film directed by Radhu Karmakar. The film stars Raj Kapoor, Pran and Padmini. The team of Shankar Jaikishan wrote music for the film, which includes the hit songs "O Basanti", "Jis desh men ganga behti hai" and "Aa ab lout chalen".....Mukesh (Hindi: मुकेश ) (July 22, 1923--August 27, 1976) was an Indian playback singer of Bollywood. Along with Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar, he was one of the three leading male Bollywood playback singers from the 1950s to the 1970s.....Mukesh's son, Nitin Mukesh, was a fairly popular singer in the 1980s and sings mostly devotional religious songs these days. She is the elder sister of the equally accomplished singer, Asha Bhosle....Awards and recognitions;Lata Mangeshkar has won several awards and honors, including Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), Bharat Ratna (2001), three National Film Awards, and 12 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. She has also won four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards. In 1969, she made the unusual gesture of giving up Filmfare Best Female Playback Award, in order to promote fresh talent.
