Jun 9, 2008 - Thanks for the comment :)I tried to get the tom heads even, but because i like them quite low, i ended up having the bottom head at a slightly higher pitch than the top (about a semitone) and with the bass drums its the opposite, the batter head slightly higher than the front head, with muffling mainly on the batter head to get that punchy sound. The snare bottom head is cranked up and the top is kinda medium. Hope this helps (:

Jul 22, 2008 - hand hammered it myself a bit and sanded it down, smoothed out the edges a little as well. i wouldnt reccomend you do this with any decent cymbal, it was purely an experiment with a old cheapo cymbal that turned out really well (:
